Saddened to hear of Carolyn's passing. She was a strong and faithful Christian woman with a gentle spirit. We took preaching elder classes together and she was so supportive and provided me opportunities to preach at her church. She was also instrumental in keeping the RCA women's group going in the Mid Hudson Valley. You will be missed Carolyn . Jesus is waiting for you.

I have known Carolyn Wood Wolz since she began as a librarian and I was a Kindergarten teacher in the Saugerties School District in the 1960's. Though later I moved, Carolyn was a part of my original family's camping adventures to Maine.
She was an assistant to the bride at our wedding to husband Robert Charles Treichel and became a part of my married family fun times when we were in New York State.
We rejoiced at her and Bill's wedding.
The last time we saw Carolyn in person was when she came to Iowa, (her husband Bill had other obligations). to participate in our 40th anniversary celebration in 2011.
Carolyn was a wonderful Christian person. She enjoyed being with children. She was a singer, a sewer, a writer of at least 2 or more Christmas plays, and a lay preacher who did worship services as a Supply Pastor in the area. The last worship service she did and preached the sermon at was September 20, 2020 at the Flatbush Reformed Church.
As a believer Carolyn has gone to heaven to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
We are glad she is no longer suffering. I am grateful for the 50 plus years of wonderful friendship we had together.
Our sympathy and condolences to Carolyn's husband Bill Wolz.

She was the core of the Town of Ulster Book Club always providing props for the book of discussion. I always looked forward to her welcoming disposition each month and a shared love of books - even the quirky choices. Her absence will be greatly felt by myself and surely all the others members.

I was saddened to learn of Carolyn’s passing. My condolences to Bill. I joyfully sang with Carolyn and Bill for many years in Ars Choralis and the Ulster Choral Society.

We have lost a very dear and special person among our ranks of Ars Choralis. She served many years as our consummate musician librarian, paying attention to every detail of our needs. Each semester, when distributing our music, Carolyn would drop Peanuts calendar pages into our very organized envelopes to cheer us up. If, however, at the end of the semester we neglected to return our music, we were instructed to provide her with chocolate as "punishment." It made me want to hold back my music just to please her. Missing you, Carolyn. Big hugs to Bill, as he suffers the loss of his sweet wife. God's love and peace.

I'm so saddened by Carolyn's passing. I've known her an Bill for many years as participants in Western Wind Vocal Ensemble Workshops. I had the pleasure of working with her in small groups. Her sunny voice and great attitude were always a pleasure to be around. Also she and Bill often came down to New York City for special concerts and other events that I was doing. Another nice memory is that at Smith College workshops, we would often share a suite of rooms and I would sometimes join them in early morning (yes-pre-breakfast) walks around the lovely campus. They were very disciplined in this. Choral music was very important to Carolyn and she sang in many groups and attended other workshops regularly. I will really miss her. Elliot Levine

Having a relative as my school librarian was fun though there was no way of getting away with anything. Carolyn fed my love of reading and I still have the Lord of the Rings set she gave me back in elementary school. I remember the Scrabble games her and my mom played. She will be missed. Rest in peace "Aunt Carolyn".
