Anneliese Oberlander

Anneliese Oberlander, 92, of Sawkill, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Straubing, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Zollner. In 1954, she married Gerhard Oberlander, a US Army Sergeant stationed in Germany, then moved the following year to Accord, NY. They relocated to Sawkill in 1960 where they raised a family. She was employed at IBM for many years. She and her husband enjoyed celebrating their German heritage and were active members of the Kingston Maenerchor and Damenchor.

She is survived by her sister, Anna Niedermeier of Munich; daughter, Christine and her husband, Don Korchowsky; son, John Oberlander and his wife, Mary Ellen (Mel) Quinlan; and her grandsons, Ian Korchowsky and Conor Oberlander. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Gerhard Oberlander, and her siblings, Rudy, Herbert and Rita.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11am at Accord Cemetery.
