I shall always be grateful to "Mrs.T" for the many patient hours she spent with me before/after school on a regular basis at SUA. She always had a smile-even tho' I found nothing pleasant about Geometry.
Irene, my thoughts & prayers are with you & your family. I no longer have your address in Fl. or I would send this directly to you.
I had the privilege of having both Mr. & Mrs. Tucker for teachers at KHS.
Mrs. Tucker made math a lot of fun and spurred my career into engineering.
Being the math/science type, English was my least favorite subject; yet Mr. Tucker made it the most memorable and enjoyable class. For our final senior project in English our group asked him if we could make a Super-8 movie rather than writing the final essay and were shocked when he agreed. Making our Mel Brooks style parody was the most exciting and educational project in all my classes at KHS.
I greatly enjoyed keeping in correspondence with Mr. Tucker over the last several decades.
I know Mr & Mrs Tucker influenced the lives of hundreds of students during their careers in ways they never knew. Their students remember them fondly.
Sorry to hear about the passing of Anna. She was a wonderful teacher! Her dedication helped me succeed in her math class at KHS. She was understanding and supported my involvement in student activities while attending her class. I am grateful to have known her!
I remember Bob always being the voice of reason when there were heated discussions at Union meetings. He put things in perspective and calmed many situations. Both he and Anna worked for the betterment of the teaching profession. They will be remembered with love and affection by many.
Irene, I am very sorry for your loss. Your mom was the classiest teacher I ever had and I have often thought of her and Maggie over the years. Please know that you are in my thoughts and that there is a candle burning in Florida for them.
Anne will be remembered as a capable and gracious person. She certainly was my retirement mentor.
