William N. Spencer

William Nathaniel Spencer was born on November 18, 1963 in Kingston, NY to William Taylor and Endia Spencer Harding. William earned his heavenly wings on January 10, 2022 at Kingston HealthAlliance Hospital with his loving wife Teresa by his side and his daughter Adea who had been by his side during the duration of his hospitalization.

William graduated from Kingston High School in 1981 and attended Ulster County Community College.
William who was affectionately known to all by his nickname, Man or Manny was a body builder who competed in competitions throughout NYS in 1981-1984, winning several competitions and trophies. He loved music and a good time was to be had at all family gatherings once he entered the room. His infectious smile you could never forget. He was a charmer with his love and affection for his family and friends. He loved a good crossword puzzle and Jeopardy. He was very astute and knowledgeable in math and many educational and political subjects. He loved a great debate. William retired from DCFS in 2018 after 25 years of service.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Teresa Spencer. Sisters, McShell (Carlton) Clarke of Naples FL, Endia (Fred) DeGroat of Kingston, NY, Mia (Frederick) Spencer of Langford, Columbia SC, LaShawn (Michael) Spencer, Marcia Ector of Kingston, NY, Nikka Yeno and Ellen Taylor. Brothers, Yon (Lisa) Spencer, Frankie Parker, Arthur Taylor, William Taylor, Jr., Lakera Taylor, Maia Taylor and Chauncey Girard. Step sisters, Tiffany Vandyke and Lisa Jackson. Sons, Jon (Marianna) Spencer, William (Andrea) Juan Spencer, Nathaniel Blake Spencer, Davon (Shaunte) Spencer, and William N. Spencer, Jr. Daughters, Niesh Brown, Adea Spencer and Whitney Spencer. Uncle Norman (Amy) James, Aunt Sharon (Lois) Mayo-Davis, cousins, Euris Spencer and Blaine Gibbs, along with 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401. William will be remembered with a celebration of life in May 2022 by family and friends.
