Dorothy Elizabeth Connolly

Dorothy E. (Stalter) Connolly, 93, of Southington, CT, formerly of Kingston, passed early Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021 at The Summit at Plantsville in Plantsville, CT with her family by her side. She was born on January 2, 1928 in Kingston, New York and was the daughter of the late Hyler and Amelia Van Buren, Sr. and was the wife of the late Gerald Connolly. Dorothy worked for NY Telephone, Hercules Powder Co and retired from IBM, Poughkeepsie, NY.

She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Kingston and St. John's Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. Her favorite activities included Travel, Camping, Church Activities, Crafting, Cooking, and Shopping.

She is survived by her children Darryl (Carol) Stalter, Bruce (Bay) Stalter, Mark (Kathleen) Stalter, her stepchildren Bill Connolly, Patrick Connolly and Gerry Connolly Jr., grandchildren Anthony (Kristen) Stalter, Mark Stalter Jr. and Nick (Caitlin) Lidestri, great grandchildren Madelynn and Killian Stalter and Sawyer Lidestri and several nieces and nephews

Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers Hyler Van Buren and his wife Francis, Robert Van Buren and his wife Janet, a sister Thelma (Dipple) Van Buren and her husband Bill. Also preceded in death by Clayton A. Stalter Jr., the father of her three sons.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, August 22nd from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with the service on Monday, August 23rd at 11:00am. The Rev. Dr. David M. Brechter will be officiating. Burial will follow the Service at Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston NY
