I knew John from early school years. We were most friendly when we were in grade school. I always remember him as a straight-ahead nice guy. So sorry to hear of his passing. I'm sure your whole family will miss him terribly. A very nice batch of tributes here to a really decent guy. And gratitude to him for serving his country.

My earliest memories have my cousin John in them. Memories of walking to the center of Williston Park NY for slot car racing. This was during the ‘60s slot car racing craze. John had a great slot car! Or of going down to Wheatley school to raise havoc. I remember when he was in Saigon for a year during the Vietnam War. He will be missed.
