Jake Thomas Gustafson 5/23/91 - 2/23/21

The world is a little less bright without Jake. He had a heart, a light, a warmth within him that shone brightly and touched everyone around him. He put others before himself time-and-time again, and stood for what he felt was right with courage and bravery. Jake was passionate and animated, and approached life with excitement and enthusiasm.

Born in Mesa, Arizona, Jake moved with his Mom and sister to New York in 1993. He graduated from Onteora High School in 2009. Jake served in the Air Force for 6 years where he was trained as a lab technologist. He was honorably discharged as a Senior Airman.
A travel enthusiast, Jake toured Europe and spent his senior year of highschool in Austria as a Rotary Youth Ambassador. He enjoyed mastering the language and made lifelong friends. His most recent sojourn was to Scotland with his Mom.

Jake is survived by his parents, Rachel and Michael Holt of Woodstock; his sister, Lindsey Gustafson of Sydney, Australia. His brothers Jacob and Sterlyn Holt of Woodstock; father Mark Gustafson. Grandparents Lynne and Steve Carlin, Michael and Meryl Gross, Gene and Rusty Gustafson. Uncles Jason (Skeydrit) and Daniel Gross (Sarah). Cousins Mira Gross, Emma Rose Gross, Mercedes Baehr, Lucy and Caroline Gross. Uncle Jon Gustafson and cousins Danielle and Zack Gustafson, as well as extended family and dear friends.

Woodstock Cemetery, Rock City Rd. Woodstock, NY, 12498, at 1pm on Saturday March 13.
