Dolores "Dee" Parise, 83, of Red Hook, NY, formerly of Saugerties, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was born January 12, 1937 in Glasco, daughter of the late John and Mary (Bounfiglio) Mayone. She was married and shared a great love with her husband of 57 years, Dominic Parise. Dominic passed away in July 2015

Dee was truly an exceptional person. A true angel on earth. She was the most kind, giving, selfless, brave and supportive person. Everyone she came in contact with immediately fell in love with her and learned so much from her wisdom and ways. Aunt Dee (as she was known to so many) always had a kind word to say, never a complaint, never a judgement and always a little package, bag, cake, gift for everyone.
She was always energetic and wanted to spread her love and joy to everyone with her big smile.

Dee worked many places over her lifetime. IBM, a teacher aide in many different schools in the Saugerties District, Krauses Candy, Beekman Arms and also spread her joy as a hostess at Mariner's Harbor Restaurant for many years, which she loved.

She is survived by her children, David Parise of Ancram, NY and Donna Parise (Gary Beirne) of Red Hook NY and her grandson, Jacob Parise of Huntington Beach, CA.
She is also survived by brothers Edward Mayone, John Jr. Mayone and sister Marietta Carpino. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son, Daniel Parise, who recently passed away in August 2020, brother Joe Mayone and sister Rose Sasso.

She will be missed by so many and surely will have a prominent seat in heaven. Her strong faith never faltered throughout her entire life.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no calling hours and a very small, private funeral mass
followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston next to her beloved husband.

In lieu of flowers and donations: do a kind deed for someone, brighten someone's day, give of yourself, spread love and joy in Dee's memory. This is how she lived everyday and would be truly grateful if her ways were carried on in all of you, especially during these trying times. We loved Dee so much. We have wonderful memories of numerous get togethers. Dee cooked, baked and made each occasion a happy and fun time. Dee loved life and her smile was infectious. Our Children still speak fondly of our annual Christmas Day visits at Dee and Don’s house. When Dee visited she always brought something she cooked or baked along with candy. Dee’s life was love, laughter and friendship. We will miss her so will hang on to our memories. Rest In Peace Dee.

We were so sorry to hear about cousin Dee (Aunt Dee). I have many fond memories of her when I was growing up in Glasco, when my brother was in a band with her sons, and when she kept trying to "fix me up" with my husband when they worked together at Mariner's in Highland. She was very happy when she succeeded and I will be forever grateful to her. She looks a lot like my mother (Louise Ferraro Saulpaugh) in this picture. I know she will be missed. Our sympathy to all of the family. Love, Nancy and Dan McLaughlin and Henry Saulpaugh

One of the nicest and most sincere woman ever to walk on earth. I worked with "Aunt Dee" back in the 1980's and never once saw her in a bad mood or without a nice thing to say. She brought out the very best in everyone around her regardless of circumstance. One of God's angels has now gone home.

My beloved Aunt and Godmother....There aren't enough words to describe the beautiful, generous, kind, woman, wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, cousin, and friend you were. There are countless amount of happy memories that I hold dear to my heart. The many football games that Jim, Uncle Dom and whoever else was there at the time enjoyed in the back room. Always delicious homemade food, desserts and plenty of wonderful beverages. She was the BEST hostess. To this day, her calzone recipe is a popular hit among many I have made it for!!!! Not too long ago, she made sure she passed on a binder of her favorite recipes that I can keep and cherish. One cherished memory I have is no matter when you went to visit, there was always a house full of company. Their friends, the kids' friends, the relatives. She entertained many of Danny and David's band members over the years. She always had a smile on her face and was never put out by all the commotion. I really admired her for that. She never went anywhere empty-handed. (Marietta was like that too) Marietta still makes sure she has myself or Michele doing her acknowledgements. You always felt welcomed. You could just drop in no matter what time or when. Aunt Dee, may you rest in peace and be rejoined with Uncle Dom and Danny. YOU WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES. I WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS! Your niece, Gina Gualtieri (and the rest of the family)
