L Linda Carle on Feb 7, 2021

Although I've known Aunt Muff all my life, In my middle aged years I got to know her better and discovered some interests we had in common. She shared her love of reading with me and we exchanged books quite a few times. She (and I) loved novels with exquisitely descriptive passages such as those of Rosamund Pilcher. I grew to love historical fiction and gave her several novels written about Appalachia. The appreciation of feathered creatures was another commonality; she especially liked owls and I enjoyed collecting owl souvenirs for her on my many travels. Memories of her and my uncle's kindness to me and my little girl and many delicious pies at the kitchen table make me smile and miss her.
