It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia Marie Roarabaugh announces her passing on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the age of 67 years. Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donald, Clarissa (Thomas), and Matthew (Terra), and her grandchildren, SeAnn, Justin, Kaydance, and Sebastian. She will also be forever remembered by her two sisters, Patricia (Leslie) and Mary (David).
Virginia was a well-respected computer engineer who enjoyed traveling and gardening. Her interest in genealogy led to Virginia becoming a contributing member of the Daughters of the American Revolution which you can only join if you prove a lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. Virginia was also a contributing member and frequent volunteer of The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Virginia will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11 a.m., at the St. Remy Reformed Church, 534 Main Street, St. Remy, NY with Rev. David Brechter officiating. Internment will follow in her plot next to her parents at St. Remy Cemetery. Ginny was my friend during my years at IBM. She was a beautiful human being with a big heart. She was very bright, knew what she stood for and said what she meant. I am very sorry that she is gone. Many of us in Austin have wondered where she had gone. She was a very valued friend and I will miss her more than I already have.
I've known Ginny for many years, as a friend and co-worker at IBM. The world lost a brilliant soul, my she rest in peace now.
I didn't know Virginia for a long time. She was a kind, intelligent lady, whose quick wit always brought a smile. She will be missed. May your memories of her sustain your hearts in this difficult time. God bless you all.
So sorry for the loss of your loved one, may memories of her life warm your heart, and may the love of God comfort you now and always
