William T. Mitchell

William T. Mitchell of Pearl St., Kingston died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital. He was 87. He was born February 4, 1920 in the Bronx, the son of the late Oliver and Elizabeth Reeb Mitchell. For many years, he owned and operated a motel in Kerhonkson and also worked in maintenance for the former Britt's Department Store and the Governor Clinton Hotel. His wife, Dorothea M. Hohler Mitchell died October 2, 1985. Surviving are his niece and nephew, Dorothy and Gregory Taylor of Brooklyn. Two great-nieces and two great-nephews also survive. A sister, Doris Taylor died previously. Reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3 - 6 pm. A funeral procession will form on Thursday at 9:15 am at the funeral home and process to St. Joseph's Church for a 10:00 am funeral Mass. Interment follow in Pine Bush Cemetery in Kerhonkson.
