Vincent J. Provenzano, Jr.

Vincent Provenzano Jr., 73, of Saint Remy, NY, passed away on January 27, at home, peacefully, with his family by his side. Born in Port Ewen, NY, Vincent was the only child of the late Vincent “Babe” Provenzano Sr. and Lorraine Provenzano. He lived a life rooted in family, friendship, and community.

Vincent was an avid bowler in his younger years and a passionate coach who left a lasting mark on the Town of Esopus. He proudly coached many Esopus Little League, championship girls softball teams and was affectionately known by generations as “Coach P.” His dedication, leadership, and encouragement shaped countless young athletes both on and off the field.

In addition to coaching his girls he was the most dedicated and passionate armchair coach the UCONN women’s Husky’s basketball team never knew. Above all else, Vincent loved his family and friends deeply. He shared a lifelong bond with his dear friend Charlie “Bing” Wesley, a friendship that meant the world to him.

Vincent is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn Provenzano; his son, Vincent Provenzano III, Vincent’s fiancé Heather Bagley and her children Noelle and Adin Robinson; his daughter, Jennifer Provenzano-Hewitt; and his cherished grandchildren, Collin and Daniella Hewitt, who have all brought him immense pride and joy.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466, where family and friends may visit on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at 10am at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
