Timothy Scherer

Timothy Scherer of Route 209, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at home. He was 58. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Richard and Alice Costello Scherer. Tim attended the College of St. Rose. His love of music never faded and singing for local churches and organizations was always on his agenda. He was an avid cook as seen in the Cooking with Brother Timothy show. He loved God with all his heart. It was hard to tell which of these loves was stronger, God, Cooking or Music. Surviving are five sisters, Janet Scherer-Smith, Eileen Scherer, Judylynn Scherer, Bethann Diers, Maria Hoben and two brothers, Dr. Kenneth Scherer and Richard Scherer. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Sunday from 7 - 9 PM.
