Suzanne B. Zimbler

Suzanne B. Zimbler, 85, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. She was born on August 24, 1940, in New York City, daughter of the late Harold and Rose (Samuels) Feldstein. She was married to the late Sheldon Zimbler; they wed on June 18, 1961. Sheldon passed away on June 16, 2010.

She attended The Juilliard School on scholarship where she studied opera until she left to study with Maxine Durrell on Broadway. She performed in several shows including The Sound of Music. She later traveled with The Sound of Music production when it left Broadway in the early 1960's. Locally, she sang with the Coach House Players in Kingston.

She was patron of the arts and loved opera, classical music, and was also a New York Yankees fan. She was a travel agent in Long Island for Holiday Travel. Above all, Suzanne often said the most important job she ever held was that of mother and grandmother to her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Jill-Anne McLaughlin, and her husband Grant of Woodstock; her sons, Scott Zimbler and his wife Eileen of Mt. Sinai and Michael Zimbler and his wife Kate of Nesconset; her grandchildren, Jeremy and Alex McLaughlin, Meghan Rose Heiser and her husband Cody, and Emma Hahn; her great grandson Callahan Lane Heiser; two nieces, Shari Lynn Wolfe and Rebecca Graziano, and one grand nephew Sam Graziano.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where the funeral service will take place at 11am on Thursday March 12, 2026. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Suzanne's name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.StJude.org
