Sheila L. Jansen

Sheila Jansen joined the angels in heaven October 12 2026 after a long courageous battle with several serious illnesses. She was born to Edwin and Rosemary Wilbur on January 25, 1939.

She was a true servant of the Lord and his teachings and prayed steadfastly two hours a day for all those in need. She was a true prayer warrior. Everyone who came in contact with Sheila from doctors, nurses, and caregivers marveled at her kindness and positive attitude regardless of any situation. Her needs always came second to those she supported emotionally. She died peacefully with loving, devoted family with her. God sent her to us as an inspiration from which we all learned.

She is survived by 6 grandchildren: Charles and Christine Jansen,Shawn and Teresa Jansen, Tanner Jansen and fiancé Izzy Humphrey-Reed, Angelina Lombardo of Delaware, Clayton and Kayley Bouton, and Nicholas Jansen of Albany. Surviving children are Edwin and Lauren Jansen, Cindy Lombardo and Henry Geich of Delaware, and Charles Jansen. There is one great grandchild, Natalie Rose Jansen. Sheila is predeceased by her husband Charles. She has four deceased siblings and has four remaining sibling survivors.

The family would like to send thanks to the Northern Dutchess Hospital and The Hudson Valley Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion.
