Ruth P. Mondore

Ruth P. Mondore, 80, of Brabrant Rd., Kingston, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. She was born April 12, 1933 in New Paltz, daughter of the late Martin and Gladys Rau Trowbridge. Ruth was employed at Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She enjoyed reading, painting and doing crossword puzzles. On April 28, 1968, she married the love of her life, Schuyler Mondore. Mr. Mondore died in September, 1970. Ruth loved her family. She is survived by her brother, Donald Trowbridge and his wife Carol; her sister, Susan LaLima; her devoted nieces, Jane Auricchio and Lynda Trowbridge; her nephew, Joseph D. LaLima; her great-nephew Justin VanSteenburg and great-nieces Joslyn VanSteenburg and Arianna Auricchio and her great-great nephews Justice VanSteenburg-Jackson and Giuseppe Jovanni LaLima. She was predeceased by her brother Walter G. Trowbridge. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Colman's Church, East Kingston. Inurnment will follow in Montepose Cemetery.
