Rosemarie Saffioti

December 1, 1941 — April 5, 2013

Rosemarie (Caruso) Saffioti, 71, of Samsonville, passed away on April 5th, 2013 at Kingston Hospital. She was born December 1, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Rose (Catalano) Caruso. She was married to the late Anthony R. Saffioti, they were wed on June 29, 1962.

Rosemarie was a home maker and loved taking care of her family. She especially loved caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, and crocheting. She loved tradition and making holidays special. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking Italian food. She enjoyed Italian music and loved to dance.

Rosemarie is survived by her children: Michele Hilty and her husband Richard, Lisa McFarland, Anthony Saffioti and his wife Victoria, all of Samsonville, Carmine Saffioti of Arizona. Her grandchildren, Zachary, Sean, Annalisa and Andrew, her siblings, Carmine Caruso of Staten Island, Catherine Mason of Accord, Joseph Caruso of Staten Island, Linda Monforte of Lake Katrine, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters of the heart: Terri Censi, Judi Emrich, and Gert Kaiser, as well as many dear friends. She is predeceased by her siblings: Mario Caruso, Anna Mensche, and Attilio Caruso.

Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Services, 326 Albany Ave, Kingston, where friends may call on Tuesday, April 9th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The service will take place on Wednesday, April 10th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Krumville, at the Krumville Cemetery.
