Ronald J. Augustine, 78, of Kingston, NY, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 30, 2026. Ron was born January 7, 1948, in Newburgh, NY, the son of the late Anthony and Rose Augustine. 

He attended Kingston High School and Ulster County Community College. From an early age, Ron had an interest in creating art and a curiosity and respect for the natural world. Over the last 15 years, Ron was able to spend time creating visual art alongside his landscaping and culinary arts. Ron was the co-owner of Augustine Nursery in Kingston, NY, which he founded with his brother Michael in 1974. He experienced great joy in seeing his landscape designs mature and become part of his legacy. 

After a long courtship, which began in 1968, Ron and his wife Eileen Katatsky were married on December 1, 2007. Ron is survived by his loving wife Eileen Katatsky, devoted brother Michael Augustine of Kingston, as well as many dear nieces and nephew. In addition to his parents, Ron is predeceased by his siblings Barbara Fescoe, Raymond Augustine, and Robert Augustine. Ron will forever be remembered for his generosity, sharp wit, and kindness to all who knew him.

Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral and Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401 where family and friends may visit on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm. A graveside burial service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Montrepose Cemetery, 75 Montrepose Ave, Kingston, NY 12401. Contributions in Ron’s memory may be made to Friends of Historic Kingston at www.fohk.org, the American Cancer Society at American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
