Robert Reed

Robert G Reed, 75, of West Hurley, NY, passed away on February 23, 2023 at Greene Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Catskill, NY. He was born on February 1, 1948, son of the late Ralph G. Reed and Hilda VanWormer Reed.

Robert served in the US Army and was a member and former Commander of the Douglas L. Cordo Post #1748 American Legion. He was a Life Member of the West Hurley Fire Department and worked for the Town of Hurley Highway department for over 30 years.

He was always doing mechanical work for family and friends on cars and machinery. That is how he got the nick name “Doctor Bob”. He enjoyed Camping and fishing with his family.

Robert is survived by his children, Debbie (Lenny Gallo) Reed, Raymond (Jayne) Reed, Dawn (Manny Rojas) Boice, Wendy (Robert) Fauble, Paul (Cathy) Boice, and James Holmes, his grandchildren, Brittany Diehl, Gabrielle Gallo, Olivia Gallo, Jason Reed, Kayla Reed, Hailee Reed, Billy Brown, Vanessa Brown, Timmy Brown, Katie Fauble-Ferris, Frankie Fauble, Jennifer Conklin, Zachary Rojas, Nikki Fauble, Isabella Boice, Devon Bronson, Brandy Bronson, and Zane Jolley, his great grandchildren, Arabella, Braxton, Peyton, Callie, Kaeleb, Miya, Shyanne, Austin, Brooklyn, Dallas, Alexander, Alana, Hunter, Logan, Kylie, Novalee, Noah, Luciani, Dalani, Ella, Derek, and Zepplin, his siblings, Douglas Reed Sr, Bette Reed (now deceased December 12, 2023), as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his first wife, Marge Marie Lewis Reed, his second wife, Gloria A Buley Reed, his daughter, Mary Brown, and his siblings, Donna Weaver and Gary Reed.
