Robert J. Franz of Stone Road, West Hurley died Monday, January 20, 2014 at home. He was 61. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Henry G. and Dorothy C. Markle Franz. Bob worked with his brothers, operating Franz Bros. Landscaping. Surviving is a sister, Emily R. Ferro and a brother, David J. Franz, both of West Hurley; two nieces, Tina Eckert and her husband Walter of Kingston, Lorrie Ferro of West Hurley; a nephew, John Ferro and his wife Amanda of Kingston; three great-nieces, Amanda Batista, Debbie Ferro, Brianna Shoemaker and a great-nephew, Hans Shoemaker. A brother, George H. Franz died previously. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM by Rev. David Brechter. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
