Robert H. Matthews

Robert H. Matthews, 84, of Stone Ridge, NY, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Kingston Hospital. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late George B. and the late Barbara Davis Matthews.


He served in the army during the Korean conflict.


Mr. Matthews was a salesman his entire life and was currently co-owner with his wife of Hurley Ridge Wines & Spirits in West Hurley.


Surviving is his wife Carol Vigna-Matthews; three sons, Gary and his wife Lisa of Madison, NJ; Brad and his wife Lissa of Kingston; Kurt and his wife Beth of Lake Katrine; a daughter, Danielle Hopkins and her husband William of Carmel, NY; two brothers, Hubert and his wife Clara of Hardin, MT and Rim and his wife Wilma of West Hurley. Also surviving are his grandchildren Daniel, Aaron, Ryan, Shane, Courtney, Brianne; two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Caroline and a nephew George and his wife Lysa.
