Robert Coisson

April 22, 1938 — April 6, 2024

Robert Coisson, husband of Mary Ann Coisson, of Ulster Park, NY, passed away on April 6, 2024, surrounded by his family.

 

He was the Son of Attilio and Celine Cairus Coisson. Robert grew up in New York City in a close-knit community of the First Waldensian Church of NY prior to settling in Ulster County in Ulster Park for 70 plus years. 

 

Robert was employed by IBM Corporation for 41 years until his retirement He was a member of the IBM Corporation Quarter Century Club, and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching professional sports, especially the New York Yankees.  He loved playing golf and played on many IBM club softball and volleyball teams.  He was also member of the KBA Bowling Association for 50 plus years as well as ABC Bowling Congress. “Pa” also loved supporting his grandchildren in all of their sports endeavors and loved watching them play.

 

Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann (Napolitano) Coisson.  He was predeceased by his parents and older brother Guido Coisson, and sister Betty Bush. Survivors include his children Robert Dean of Ulster Park, Douglas and his wife Margaret of Hurley, his grandchildren Kera Dittus and her husband, Matthew, and Drew Coisson, as well as a soon to be born great grandson.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Always smiling and with a positive outlook, Bob was a very humble person, a true devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many.  He will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
