A Memorial Mass for Robert Fisk will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, Deerfield Beach, FL on Saturday, April 28th at 1:00 PM.
Robert B. Fisk, Jr. a resident of south Florida died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at his home.
He was born in Kingston, NY, a son of the late Robert B. and Edna M. Freer Fisk Sr. A Kingston High School graduate, he received a degree from Ulster Community College.
A US Navy veteran of WW II, Mr. Fisk served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. After the war he worked on the tug boats for Feeney's and Cargo Grain for ten years.
He married Angeline DeCicco on December 4, 1949.
For 30 years Mr. Fisk worked at I.B.M. in Poughkeepsie and Kingston, NY and Boca Raton, Florida. An electronic technician, he retired in 1986. He belonged to the Quarter Century Club.
A resident of Florida since 1967 he was active in the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Fisk was a life member of both John A. Hill Council #4955 and Fourth Degree, Edward A. O'Neil #1534, both in Pompano Beach, Florida. He was a parishioner and usher at St. Ambrose Church, Deerfield Beach, FL and belonged to the Men's Club.
One brother James R. Fisk and one sister Edna Marie 'Dolly' Fowler both died previously.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 57 years, are three sons Robert B. Fisk III and his wife Clare of Montgomery, Alabama, Vincent J. Fisk and his wife Vanessa of Coral Springs, Florida and Jeffrey Fisk and his wife Joan of Deerfield Beach, Florida; one sister Mary Jane Hart of Archdale, NC, one brother Miles B. Fisk of Stewart, Florida, four grandchildren Danielle, Brianna, Shelby and James Fisk, many nieces and nephews.
He reposed at the Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY on April 22, 2007.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church on April 23rd. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
