Radomir Beranek

Radomir Beranek passed away at home on August 4, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1939 in Czechoslovakia. Radomir moved to the United States as an adult and became a citizen in 1973. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Prague with an MA degree in History of Cinematography and Film Criticism. Radomir remained interested in film, photography and music, and he had an extensive collection of recorded music. In the early days of computing, he pivoted to programming, and his most recent employment was as a data base administrator and consultant.

Radomir is survived by his loving wife Nancy, son Erik and daughter-in-law Kelsey, as well as by a daughter Sylva, her husband Pavel, two grandsons Filip and Robin and a great grandson Misa in Czechia.

Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hudson Valley Hospice.
