Pauline DeLessio

Pauline M. (Kruger) DeLessio, 85, of Saugerties NY passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY. She was born to the late Paul Eric Kruger and Myrtle S. (Smith) Kruger in April 1940. Pauline was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Joseph C. DeLessio, and her loving and supportive brothers, Eric Kruger, Robert Kruger, and Billy Kruger.

Pauline was a graduate of Maybrook High School. She worked and volunteered at a variety of jobs over the years, including window dresser at Woolworth’s, lunch lady at Wallkill Middle School, law librarian, and provider of social work support.

Pauline held a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ as her savior and Lord. For over 30 years, she has attended and served at Grace Community Church in Lake Katrine, New York. Previously she was a faithful member of the Wallkill Reformed Church and the Christ Community Church in Tucson, AZ. Pauline joyfully served by working in their kitchens, giving rides to hospitals and various appointments, preparing comforting meals to those in need, and praying. Pauline was also an encouragement to others through letters and phone calls. She was an avid reader, supporter of libraries, and participated in book club for many years with other women who shared her love for books.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Deanne D. DeLessio & husband Dan McClellan of Benton, Louisiana & her daughter Deborah D. (DeLessio) Maser and husband Raymond Maser, her grandchildren Kassandra I. Maser and Aaron Joseph Maser of Buffalo, New York. She also has many adored nieces and nephews, sister and brothers in law. Pauline was a guide and support to her family, directing them always towards wisdom and love. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9:30-11:00 AM at Grace Community Church, 160 Seremma Ct, Lake Katrine, NY. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Lunch and a celebration of life fellowship will follow immediately after.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pauline’s memory to Intervarsity Christian Fellowship (staff worker - Elsie Mokoban), to the Saugerties Library, or to a charity you associate with Pauline’s beliefs and interests.
