Patricia A. Stedge

Patricia (Pat) Ann Stedge, 100, of the Town of Ulster, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at home. She was born on August 21, 1925, daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (Moyer) Gheer of Freeburg, PA. Pat married Robert Stedge in 1954. Robert passed away on December 7, 2015.

Pat graduated from New Jersey College for Women (Douglass College of Rutgers University) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and later attained a Master’s degree of Music with a major in Piano from the Eastman School of Music. She attended West Chester State Teachers College, PA, and SUNY, New Paltz where she attained a Master’s degree in teaching.

Pat taught music in the Kingston School System and gave private piano instruction. She later taught remedial reading and math in the Saugerties Central School District. Pat was a Past President of the Musical Society of Kingston, The Kingston Branch of the American Association of University Women, and the Kingston Chapter of the American Field Service.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Anne Stedge-Outwater, and Barbara Stedge, her grandson, Nathan Outwater, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Jack Larsen.

Services entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Tuesday, February 10 from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, February, 11 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 104 Wurts St., Kingston, NY 12401.
