Patricia Ann Burns

Patricia Ann Burns, 67, of Mountain View Ave, Hurley, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Kingston Hospital. She was born December 31, 1944 in Kingston, the daughter of the late Joseph J and Helen Sass Miles.

She was a graduate of Kingston High School and a graduate of SUNY New Paltz with a Masters in Education. For many years she had been a professor of English at Ulster County Community College.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church; she was avid reader, enjoyed collecting antiques and keeping in contact with her students and spending time with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her sons Christopher A. Burns and his wife Paula and Damon D. Burns, her grandchildren Devan Burns, Sean White, Gillian and Jessica Burns, a nephew Michael Miles and a grand niece Lauren Miles. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas, Gerald and Allan Miles.

Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave, Kingston, the family will receive their friends on Monday from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. At 12 noon A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's RC Church.
