Michael Vladimir Pavlov

October 10, 1941 — February 1, 2013

Michael Vladimir Pavlov, of Whiteport Rd. died Friday, February 1, 2013 in Puerto Vallarta,Mexico. He was 71. He was born in Gottingen,Germany, a son of the late Vladimir Joseph and Barbara Dittmann Pavlov. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree, he entered a doctoral program in Physics at West Virginia University. He was founder and CEO of Cobra Systems, Inc., an international manufacturing company. An accomplished entrepreneur, he owned 5 companies. He was a leader in his industry, securing 15 patents and several trademarks. He was a member of the Russian Nobility Association, the Order of St. John, The Century House Historical Society, Kiwanis and a loyal member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. Michael enjoyed traveling, historic restoration and was an auto enthusiast. He also loved spending time with his 10 grandchildren, whom he adored.


Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Arikka Woldsen Pavlov, a son, Joseph Pavlov, his wife Christine and their two children Ashley and Jimmy of Port Ewen, three daughters; Hillarie Daly, her husband Brian and their three children, Madeleine, Anne Marie and Isabelle of Oakland, NJ; Karina Pavlov and her son Christian of Rosendale; Kristina Pavlov-Leiching, her husband Timothy and their three children, Timothy, Joseph and Peter of Rosendale; four sisters, Katherine Arnhold of Virginia; Natalie Duerkopp of Washington; Marina Pavlov and Tanya Picone, both of Florida, one brother, Andre Pavlov of Florida and cousin, Christel Kruemmel of Germany.


Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of A. Carr and Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Friday from 2 - 6 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Poughkeepsie. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park.
