Michael J. Juzwak, 68, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away on July 3, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Born on April 17, 1958 in Englewood, NJ, he was the son of the late Thaddeus J. Juzwak, Sr. and Irene (Yavorski) Juzwak. Michael is also predeceased by his loving wife, Marie A. Ianotti, whom he adored more than anything.
A true lover of theater, Michael attended the Welsh College of Music and Drama and graduated from SUNY Oneonta. He has performed on off-Broadway and regional theater, and was a founding member of two improv troupes in New York City. Michael has also worked with several theater organizations in the Hudson Valley including: Rhinebeck Theatre Society, The Cocoon Theatre, CAST, CenterStage, TheatreSounds, Star Mountain Group, The New Deal Creative Arts Center, and the Performing Arts of Woodstock where he both performed in and directed several productions.
In recent years, Michael’s passion project was being a co-founder of TroupEnigma – a Hudson Valley theater group. He loved nothing more than bringing the joy of live theater to the community, and the collaborative work that came with it. TroupEnigma gave him the ability to fulfill his passions, while working with his closest friends, and creating beautiful art.
Michael is survived by his four siblings: Ted Juzwak (Kathy), Steven Juzwak, Karen Gushue (Robert), and Susan Jenny (Bill), as well as, his 9 nieces and nephews: Rachael, Scott, Michael, Lisa, Collette, Monica, Arthur, Nicole, & Caitlin.
