Medora A. "Dordie" Vogt, 85, of Palm City, FL, formerly of Kingston, passed peacefully Friday, January 25, 2013 at Martin Memorial South Hospital, Stuart, FL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 26, 1927 in Staten Island, the daughter of the late David and Medora Arnold.

She had been President of Allan L. Hanstein Insurance Company, member of the Junior League of Kingston, a volunteer at the Kingston Hospital and was a staunch opponent of animal abuse and a proponent of various animal rescue charities

Dordie was the wife of the late James A. Hanstein and Honorable Francis J. Vogt, longtime Ulster County Court Judge and is survived by a daughter Medora "Clai" Claiborne Reading and her husband Todd, of Palm City, FL a son; James R. Hanstein and his wife Sandy of Kingston, granddaughters, Ashley M. Terwilliger, DeMarigny and Margot Hanstein.

Entrusted to the care of Eric Keyser, Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. The family service will be private with burial in Hurley Cemetery.
