Joan Sickler

Joan Sickler, of Doylestown, PA, formerly Mechanicsburg, PA, and Kingston, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Born in Glasco, NY, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Rose (Belsito) Zammiello. Joan was married to her loving husband of 40 years, Richard Sickler. Richard passed away on February 26, 2022. She retired from IBM in Mechanicsburg, PA, in 1996.

She enjoyed redecorating her home, shopping, visiting Florida with her husband Rich, and spending time with her family and her grand dog, Casey.

Joan is survived by her children, Jon Brodhead and his wife Nancy of Perkasie, PA, Kathleen Brodhead of Port Ewen, NY, Craig Sickler and his wife Jennifer of Florida, Stephen Sickler of Kingston, and Eileen Klan of Kingston, her grandchildren, Kimberly Bizon and her husband PJ of Doylestown, PA, Zach (Julia Marquez) Brodhead of Maui, HI, Adam Spyhalsky of High Falls, NY, Colin (Sabrina Woodin) Spyhalsky of Highland, NY, Kaitlin (Greg Verrilli) Spyhalsky of Red Hook, NY, Juliana, Jacob, and Carter Sickler, Olivia and Jack Sickler, and Griffin and Emme Klan, her great-grandchildren, Samantha, Charlotte, and Luke Bizon, her brother, Frank Zammiello, as well many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joan is predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Brodhead, her dear friends, Carolyn Niles and Patricia Stanton.

Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. Family and friends may visit from 10am to 11am on Tuesday September 22, 2026, at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, NY 12401. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am, followed by entombment at Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston, NY.
