Mary A. Mazzuca, 82, of Hurley, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren. Born in Roseton, NY, on October 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John Suto and Clara Boughton.

Mary was a woman of many chapters and talents. Professionally, she served as a manager at JC Metal, where she oversaw the creation of custom metal parts, and later worked in electronics manufacturing at FX Systems. However, her true vocation was found in her creativity and spirit.

A student of history and a lover of science fiction, Mary possessed a unique flair for the dramatic. She was a masterful storyteller, known for weaving entertaining and slightly larger-than-life tales that captivated her listeners. Her creativity flowed into her poetry, her stories, and her home. She found joy in crafting, gardening, and collecting antiques.

Mary celebrated life with enthusiasm. Thanksgiving was a cherished time for family gatherings, while Halloween allowed her playful side to shine through elaborate decorations and costumes. A lifelong animal lover, she was devoted to her dogs and cats. She also possessed a competitive spirit; from playing softball as a child to becoming an avid NFL fan in adulthood. Notably, her football acumen was sharp to the end—she proudly won her Fantasy Football league championship in 2023.

Mary is survived by her children: Troy Suto, Rainy Mazzuca and her husband William Roosa, and Jody Mazzuca and her husband Kenneth Fromson. She was the proud grandmother of Rob, Ryan, and Reagan Suto; Kurt, Kayli, and Keith Roosa; and Sophia and Chase Fromson. She leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings: James Suto, Angela Milano, Florence Suto, Elsie Gambino, and Vincent DeCicco, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Mazzuca, and her brother, John Suto.

Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401. In keeping with her wishes, Mary was privately cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
