Mary Jane Smith

Mary Jane Smith, 84, of Kingston, NY, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingston, NY. She was born January 1, 1934 in Richland, SC.

Mary worked for many years at the Oceanview Nursing Home in Far Rockaway, NY. She enjoyed cooking, singing in church, and above all, spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her children, Martha Johnson of Durham, NC, Dorothy Smith of Flushing, NY, Evelyn Moore of Kingston, NY, her grandchildren, Miriam Smith-Leone of Lyndhurst, NJ, Kimberely Evans of Durham, NC, Tonya Johnson of NYC, Johnathan Smith of Syracuse, NY, Theodore Smith of NYC, Crystal Pettaway of NYC, Corey Pettaway of NYC, and Chanaya Pettaway of NYC, as well as 11 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her mother, Hajar Nowell, and her sons, Arnold Smith and Victor Brooks.
