Margot Fallon

Margot Vestergaard Fallon, formerly of Kingston, NY, passed away on September 18, 2026 at The Woodlands at Furman, Greenville, SC.

As a young woman, she lived in London and then migrated to New York City. There she met her husband, Andres Vestergaard. For a few years, they lived in Denmark but soon returned to New York City, Connecticut, Woodstock, New York and then Kingston. They had three children together, Katja, Anders and Vanessa. Sadly, Andres predeceased her in 1981.

In 1988, Margot married Peter E. Fallon of Kingston, NY. During her years in Kingston, she volunteered and supported, with her husband Peter, the Hudson River Maritime Museum and was a strong advocate and supporter of mental health awareness throughout her life. Margot was also a lover of books and an avid reader.

In 2002, Margot and Peter moved to Stuart, Florida and then in 2009, they moved to Greenville, SC area. For the past six years they have lived in The Woodlands at Furman, where she was surrounded by the love of her family until her passing.

Margot is survived by her three children, Katja (Katie) Vestergaard and her partner John Markle of Kingston, Anders Vestergaard of Florida and Vanessa Vestergaard of Greenville, SC. Also surviving are her husband Peter, his two children Claire and Laura Fallon and Claire’s three grandsons.

Burial will be at the Wiltwyck Cemetery. Services will be private.
