Marc N. Reuben, 90, of Tillson, NY, passed away at home on March 24, 2026.
Born in Kingston, NY, on November 21, 1935, he was the son of the late Irving and Tillie Reuben. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Simonetti, in May 2025.
Marc is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jo Ann Reuben; his children, Rachel (Sean) Senor and Jeremy (Kathleen) Reuben; and his four beloved grandchildren, Makenna (“Honey Bunny 1”), Brielle (“Honey Bunny 2”), Teaghan, and Devin, who affectionately called him “Pop-Pop.”
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Marc’s world often revolved around his favorite teams — the Giants, Yankees and Knicks — and he also rooted faithfully for the Mets, Jets, Rangers, and even enjoyed the occasional NASCAR race with Jo Ann. A graduate of Boston University with an associate’s degree in accounting, Marc spent his career as an accountant and bookkeeper. He continued working part-time and was faithfully preparing tax returns for family and clients this spring.
A lifelong resident of the area, Marc was a dedicated member and faithful supporter of Congregation Ahavath Israel in Kingston, NY, until its closing. He loved to travel with his wife to tropical places, with Aruba and Hawaii being at the top of his list. He served in the Army and the Army National Guard.
Marc will be remembered for his paper trail on everything, his steady stream of puppy and panda videos shared with loved ones, his deep love of sports, and, above all, his devotion to his family.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 26, from 4-7 p.m. at Keyser Carr Simpson Hammerl Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave. Kingston, NY. A service of remembrance will take place on Friday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial at Montrepose Cemetery. We ask that you refrain from wearing black clothing to any of these arrangements, as we celebrate his life with color.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the Rosendale Library.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
