Lucy Gallagher, 83, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her home in Kingston, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 30, 1939 in West Durham, NY and was the daughter of the late Clarence Roe and Nellie German.

Lucy was married on October 31, 1959 in Manorkill, NY to George Thomas Gallagher.  

She graduated from Gilboa - Conesville Central School in 1957. Lucy worked as a Pharmacy Technician for 33 years. She worked in numerous different pharmacies including, Drug City, Franklin Pharmacy, Fays, Eckerds and Rite Aid.

Lucy was fond of ballroom dancing at the White Eagle Dances. She was an avid crossword puzzler, she loved to knit, crochet and cross stitch.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, George Gallagher, her children, William Robert Gallagher and Elizabeth Hope and Greg Kennedy. Her grandchildren, Melissa Franz, Shane Freer, Kelly Booth and Brandon Kennedy, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may attend her service on, Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at 3pm. A tribute for Lucy may be found at, where you may leave memories and expressions of sympathy for her family. For those who wish, contributions in Lucy’s memory may be made to WMC HealthAlliance, Kingston, NY. Lucy’s family is extremely grateful to the wonderful staff who cared for her.
