Lorraine Finn Hoffmann, 92, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Henry A. & Harriet A. Holsopple Finn. Lorraine worked as a supervisor for Hercules Inc. for 34 years, before retiring in 1983.She was member of American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), Chapter 975, where she was a past president and a legislative chairperson. Lorraine was a very social person, who loved the outdoors, walking, dancing and reading.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 73 years, Edward Hoffmann of Kingston, whom she married on September 27, 1942, two daughters, Joyce Lane of Kingston and Debra Cahill and her husband Brian of Kingston, six grandchildren, Kerry Pillsworth Demers, Ken Pillsworth, Jr, Christopher Lane, Marissa VanDenburgh, John Davide, Jr. and Emily Cahill, six great grandchildren, Troy, Leah, Peyton, Adam, Jeremiah and Ethan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by two daughters, Janice Palicia and Alice Feazel, two great grandchildren, Ann & Henry VanDenburgh and one brother, George Finn.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Church at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
