Lorraine E. Benicase

Lorraine E. Benicase, 85, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, NY. She was born on February 25, 1941, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Nagy) Finnerty. Lorraine was married to her loving husband, Samuel J. Benicase, they wed on August 21, 1960.

She worked at various places throughout her career, including Forbes and Wallace Department Store, Fashion Town, Dr. Kwasnowski as a Receptionist, and Dr. William Gavis Jr. as an Office Administrator. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church in Kingston.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Samuel Benicase, her sons, Jeffrey Benicase and his wife Lori, Stephen Benicase and his wife Linda, and Alan Benicase and his wife Cathy, her grandchildren, Stacey Staalesen, Kevin Benicase, Brittany Zeck, Kristy Benicase, Kara Benicase, Audrey Benicase, and Kaitlyn Benicase, her great grandchildren, Makari, Kelsey, Trey, Charlee, and Zoey, her brother, Thomas J. Finnerty, Jr. and his wife Judy, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister, Rose Marie Lambert. The family would like to especially thank the staff at the Northeast Center for the wonderful care they provided to Lorraine.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home at 9:30am on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 and will proceed to St. Joseph’s RC Church, 242 Wall St., Kingston, NY 12401 where at 11am at Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston.
