Lillian May (a.k.a. Lillie May) Vandemark, 93, a life-long resident of Rosendale, Hurley and Kingston, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Kingston Hospital. She was born May 27, 1920 in Rosendale, to the late Samuel and Henrietta (Gilmore) Coleman. She was married to her husband of nearly 60 years, Clarence Vandemark Sr.
She is survived by her children; Lillian (Theodore) Francis, of Bermuda, Patricia Vandemark of Kingston, Clarence Vandemark Jr. of Harlem, Sidney Vandemark of Kingston, Ronald (Mary) Vandemark of Allentown , PA, and Kenneth Vandemark Sr. and his fianc Kim of Poughkeepsie, as well as, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son, Richard Wynkoop Jr.
Entrusted to the care of Luke Keyser of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Wednesday November 20th from 7 to 9pm at the funeral home. On Thursday November 21st from 11am to 12pm friends will be received at New Progressive Baptist Church, 8 Hone Street, Kingston. The Home Going Service will start at 12noon at the church. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
