Lawrence D. Lohman, 50, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in Saratoga, NY. He was born on November 15, 1975 in Kingston, NY and was the son of the late Lawrence G. Lohman and Judith Wheeler.
Lawrence loved the beach at Wildwood Crest, NJ. He would spend his whole summers at the Barcelona in Wildwood, and considered it his home away from home. His favorite past time on the beach was building extravagant, and contest winning sand castles. Lawrence loved teaching voice to the students of the Kingston High School Choir. His passion for music and singing was very contagious, and left a legacy with the students of KHS. Lawrence spent years perfecting the art of teaching voice, and will culminate with the release of the book he was writing on the subject.
Lawrence enjoyed roller coasters. He would spend his weekends and breaks traveling the country trying every roller coaster possible. He has rode over one hundred different roller coasters. If not riding a roller coaster, Lawrence would be reading a wide range of literature, including the great works, philosophy, music, voice, education, or conducting. These reading selections would often be accompanied by a cigar, which he greatly enjoyed.
He is survived by his sister Kathryn Lohman and extended family members, including several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence G. Lohman and Judith Wheeler.
