Kathleen Wood

Kathleen P. Wood, 80, of Stone Ridge, passed away on August 9th, 2023, at the North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing Center, Mohegan Lake, NY. She was born on June 17th, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Burke) Broderick. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from SUNY New Paltz after graduating from SUNY Ulster. For many years she was an art teacher at St. Joseph's School and Kingston Catholic School. 

Beyond her career and education, Kathleen had a deep sense of faith and was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church. Outside of work and church, Kathleen reveled in various hobbies that brought joy to her life which included gardening, cooking, and painting.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Wood, her parents, as well as her brothers, Michael and John "Bing" Broderick, and a sister, Eileen Broderick. She is survived by her three sons, Raymond Wood III, and his wife, Mary Anne of Wappingers Falls, John Wood of Stone Ridge, and Timothy Wood and his wife, Jessica of Carmel Valley, CA, and her grandchildren, Raymond "RJ," Maggie, Alex, and Katie, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday from 1 – 5 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Kingston on Monday at 11am.  Burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge, NY.
