Karen Ames

Karen Ames, 88, of Saugerties, NY, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, NY. She was born on March 21, 1935 in Kingston, NY and was the daughter of the late Tracy and Addie (VanKleeck) Gray. Karen was married to the late Albert Ames.

Karen worked for Rotron in Woodstock, NY, for many years. She enjoyed to knit, crochet, and read.

She is survived by her children, Michael Deiter and his wife Sayda, Katherine Elston, and Elaine Rasizer, her grandchildren, Jacob, Lindsey, Aleighsha, Beth, Hope, Preston, Demi, and Joshua, her brother, Robert VanKleeck and his wife Janet, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear family members.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 12pm to 3pm with the funeral service starting at 3pm.
