Juanita Cinclini

March 10, 1936 — November 24, 2025

Juanita R. (Dunham) Cinclini, 89, of Kingston, NY, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by her caring family. She died at the home she proudly purchased and maintained for more than fifty years. She was born on March 10, 1936, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late Irving Dunham and Beatrice (Jones) Dunham. A lifelong resident, Juanita sang for years in the youth choirs at Old Dutch Church and graduated from Kingston High School where she was highly involved in the music program, playing the trombone in the band and singing in the choir under the legendary Leonard Stine. Later in life, she enjoyed singing in the KHS Alumni Choir and was especially fond of Englebert Humperdinck, having seen him perform several times. An avid fan of the NY Yankees, Juanita delighted in attending many of their home games in NYC and never missed a game, especially when they were in the World Series. Over the years, Juanita cared for many beloved cats, often adopting those who were homeless or rescued from the streets. She began her professional career as a telephone company operator and retired from New York State after decades with the Division for Youth in Dutchess County and Albany. Juanita also served as President of the local regional office of CSEA. She was described by co-workers as a “strong and capable woman,” and she raised four children on her own at a time when it was especially difficult for women to do so. She is survived by her children: Michael Dunham, Jolie Dunham, Jill Dunham, and John Dunham and his wife, Dorothy; her grandchildren: Matthew Harrington, Courtney Harrington and her fiancé, Richard Howarth, John Dunham Jr. and his fiancé, Christine Wang, Brianna Farrell and her husband, Brandon; and five great-grandchildren: Christian Harrington, Jackson Howarth, Sophie, Emmett, and Nash Farrell. In addition to her parents, Juanita is preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Dunham, Jesse Dunham, Irving Dunham, Jr., and Victor Dunham.A very special thank-you goes to the entire team at Hudson Valley Hospice, and to her case manager, Dyniasia Price, for their attentiveness and caring guidance. Arrangements are entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Kingston, NY. Services will be held privately. For those who wish, contributions in Juanita’s memory may be made to the Ulster County SPCA at www.UCSPCA.org.
