Joyce J. Kirtson

Joyce J. Kirtson, 88, of Kingston, NY, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022. She was born June 21, 1933 in Catskill, NY, daughter of the late Clarence and Isabelle (Haines) Hitchcock. She was married to the late George Kirtson. George passed away in 1997.

Joyce was a graduate of Catskill High School, Class of 1952. She worked for over 20 years at Kingston Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist. Prior to that she transcribed for several Court Reporters in the area. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Lake Katrine where she enjoyed various group activities.

Joyce is survived by her children, Karen Lockrow of Kingston, Melissa Lennon of Clinton Corners, her grandchildren, Nicholas (Mary) Herron, SGT. Ryan Palen, US Army, Kevin Lennon, her great grandson, Carter Herron, her siblings, David (Mary Beth) Hitchcock of Red Hook, Daniel (Anna Marie) Hitchcock of Arizona, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her daughter Kathy (Kirtson) Glick and her brothers, Wallace and Robert Hitchcock.

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 4pm to 6:30pm with the funeral service taking place at 6:30pm. The service will be livestreamed at www.FaceBook.com/KeyserCarr
