Joseph E. Achatz

Kingston - Joseph E. Achatz passed away at home with his loving wife M. Pat Achatz by his side. He is survived by his brother Edward and 9 nieces and nephews and their families, residing on Long Island. Also, his step-children Tina and Jim Gonda. Joe is predeceased by his parents Edward A. and Catherine Jacob Achatz and his first wife, Emily Achatz. Joe is a graduate of the school of common sense and liked working with wood, making tables and repairing furniture and loved playing with our dog Mitzi and doing puzzles. He was a loving Catholic and parishioner of St. Mary and St. Peter in Kingston. Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Friday from 6 -8 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
