John Stanzione

John T. Stanzione, 67, of Hurley, NY passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at his home in Jupiter, FL with his wife and children by his side. He was born on August 19, 1956, in Catskill, NY, son of the late John and Catherine (O’Shea) Stanzione. 

John was a graduate of SUNY Delhi, as well as SUNY New Paltz. He was a teacher at the Division for Youth for over 30 years. John was always active in sports, both playing and coaching. His true passion, however, was running. In his later years, he very much enjoyed golfing and was a member of both Wiltwyck and Jupiter Country Clubs.

He is survived by his wife, Elissa Dini of Hurley, NY, his three children (Anne, John, and Mark), their spouses (Atilla and Monica), his brothers and sisters (Joseph, Madeline, Patrick, Catherine), his grandchildren (Lucas and Valentina), his beloved dog Wookie, his loving extended family, and many great friends. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his brothers Matthew and Michael Stanzione. 

Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral service will take place at 10am on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hurley Cemetery, Hurley, NY.
