John Hobert

Hurley - John Hobert of Woodland Drive died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home. He was 76. He was born in Kingston, a son of the late Walter and Phyllis All Hobert. A graduate of Kingston High School, he went on to receive a Master Degree in Mathematics and taught at Kingston High School for 35 years. John enjoyed golf, trout fishing, playing Hold-em Poker and following the stock market. He was especially devoted to his grandchildren. In January of 1967, he married Jeanne Stott in Albany, NY. Surviving in addition to his wife, are his son, James Patrick (Maria) Hobert of Gainesville, FL and his daughter, Jennifer Jeanne Guido of Highland; a brother, Patrick Hobert of Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving are his three grandchildren, Nina and Vincent Guido and Marisa Hobert. A brother, Ward Hobert died previously. Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston. Cremation was private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
