John B. Sullivan, Washington Ave., Kingston, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. He was 66. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY, a son of the late John and Kathleen Schreiber Sullivan. A self-employed general contractor, he operated JBS Construction in Kingston. John enjoyed puttering in his wood shop, challenging crossword puzzles and was a WW II history buff. In his earlier years was an avid diver in the waters of the Bahamas. John was an excellent athlete all through high school and particularly loved skiing, swimming/diving and cross-country running. On April 30, 2000, he married Paige VanKeuren who survives at home. Also surviving are his children, Mark, Alice and Jill and a sister, Patricia and nieces Tanya and Kristin. Entrusted to the care of Paul Geary of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where friends will be received on Sunday from 2 - 4 PM. Cremation was private.
