Joan Guido

Joan Guido of Main Street died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at TenBroeck Commons Nursing Home. She was 72. She was born in Jamestown on December 16, 1932, a daughter of the late Richard and Anna E. Buitkus Weeks. An East Kingston resident for most of her life, Joan was a parishioner of St. Colman's Church and a member of the former Altar - Rosary Society. Her husband Charles J. “Babe” Guido died July 9, 1988; one brother Donald Weeks died previously. Surviving are one son Joseph C. Guido and his wife Dorothee of San Jose, CA; one daughter Anne Marie VanBenschoten of East Kingston; four grandchildren Joseph M. Guido, Nowell, Charles A. and Daniel VanBenschoten; one step granddaughter Natalie Price; many nieces and nephews. Reposing at Simpson - Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 AM from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Colmans' Church at 10:00. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
