Janet Andreassen

Janet Andreassen, born on February 4, 1938, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023 in Rhinebeck, NY.  Prior to moving to Rhinebeck in 2019, she lived in Brooklyn, NY since birth.  She earned her Masters Degree and worked as a Registered Nurse in public health, retiring from Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.  She is survived by her sister Ingrid Orsland of Rhinebeck, NY and her nieces, Deborah Orsland of Nashville, TN, Cynthia Orsland Troeger and her husband Michael and son David of Shokan, NY, and Sharon Orsland-Lapp of West Hurley, NY.  She is predeceased by her husband, Manual Andreassen, and her parents Andreas and Alfhild Samsen.  A private graveside service will be held on Saturday at Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
